Register for the West African Cuisine Class!

As a young girl, Chef Augusta Marsh-Socree grew up in the Fiama Sinkor community of Liberia, West Africa, where her talent and passion for the culinary arts grew, and opened up many doors for her.

In 1980, Augusta immigrated to Brooklyn, New York, and by 1991, she opened up her first restaurant in Staten Island, adding a second location just a year later in the Fulton area of Brooklyn. She catered for the Brooklyn Academy of Music and the New York community at large, serving authentic dishes made with love and flavors from Liberia, Nigeria, and the U.S., the country she now calls home.

Come learn how to make popular West African dishes and some of her greatest specialities, like cassava "yuca" bread!
